GTP is registered in the state of Washington and operates mostly in the Pierce, King and Snohomish counties. These 3 counties serve as home to the over 20 thousand West Africans in the state.

The mission of GTP is to Connect West Africans in Washington with local resources and bridge the gap between us and the wider community, promote West African culture, inform and educate Gambians to discover their potentials and facilitate communication in the use of information technologies and work of arts for the attainment and discovery of their talents.

Vision Statement

The vision of Gambian Talents Promotion (GTP) is to see a vibrant, dynamic and sustainable creative civil society sector engaged in qualitative practices in the media and arts in their own right, as well as in a manner that contributes to development, human rights and democracy and to eradicate poverty in The Gambian community in Washington.

Aims

Is a civil society membership organization geared towards complementing government and private sector development initiatives through the new media, arts and cultural orientation and the promotion of democracy and respect for human rights and the rule of law.

[Our Activities at GTP]

What We Do

GTP takes great pride in serving our kids. We organize after school programs, movie nights, homework club, exhibitions and other educational and entertainment programs for them on a regular basis

We provide advocacy and awareness creation about different issues affecting the West Africans in Washington

Our women, youths and children are very important part of our society. We often organize educational and entertainment programs for them thereby keeping them informed of certain issues that are very relevant to their lives. Our community is growing rapidly due to several reasons.
